Maker Expo Needs You!

Hey folks, Ben here. The MEEP’s are hard at work putting together a truly epic inaugural event, but we’ll still need your help to make it happen!

We’re looking for volunteers who can help us out — especially on the big day (Sept 19th!). We have a wide range of duties available, including…

  • Exhibitor Helpers (help everyone get setup/teardown after the expo)
  • Workshop volunteers (learn to solder, cardboard zone, etc)
  • Door greeter / counters
  • Photographers (document the event!)
  • AND MORE! (complete list on our volunteer page)

The organizers have spent hundreds (thousands?) of collective hours planning and building Maker Expo — are you willing to spend a few hours with us to put on the biggest DIY showcase that Waterloo Region has ever seen? In that case…

Still not convinced? Did you know that volunteers also get an exclusive volunteer t-shirt, designed by local artist Jon Johnson of Bearface Design? Or free food and drink to fuel you during the expo? Well then…

Worried that you won’t be able to take in the expo yourself? No problem – most of the volunteer shifts run in 2-4 hour blocks — you can still help out AND get to check out all the awesome that will be at Maker Expo. You guessed it…
